The Personalised Care Institute was launched by NHS England in September 2020 after the NHS Long-Term Plan outlined a target of providing personalised care to 2.4m people by 2024. It aims to educate 75,000 health and care professionals to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to bring the personalised care approach to life.

Evergreen PR, which won a competitive pitch, aims to bring the institute’s inspiring purpose to life with a varied multichannel programme that includes Earned, Shared and Owned activity and partnership working with the institute’s 40+ stakeholders, which include royal colleges, associations and national charities. The news has been reported in PR Week, PRovoke Media and Prolific North.

The win is another sign that Evergreen PR is set to become a significant player in the health space. Founded in November 2019 by Leigh Greenwood, an experienced multi-award winning health communications specialist, the consultancy has seen revenue grow five-fold in the last five months.

The consultancy is built around a passion for health transforming communications and its outcomes-focused approach has already resulted in a number of awards and highly commended recognition from the PRCA, PR Week and The Drum.

Becky Hughes, Assistant Director at the Personalised Care Institute, which is convened by the Royal College of GPs, said: “After meeting a number of reputable agencies, our senior team was unanimous in its belief that Evergreen PR were the right consultancy to help us bring our mission to life and achieve our objectives. Their knowledgeable team immediately understood our needs and outlined a focused, strategic and passionate plan. They’ve made a great start and we’re already seeing a growth in our numbers.”

Leigh Greenwood, Managing Director of Evergreen PR, said: “The Personalised Care Institute has an incredibly inspiring purpose of empowering patients to get more involved in decisions about their care, which really chimes with our own goal of transforming health. The organisation has massive potential and we’re really excited to have been given the opportunity to help them to make a real difference to the delivery of healthcare in England.”
