Evergreen founder delivers CIPR webinar on award-winning campaigns

Evergreen founder and MD, Leigh Greenwood, delivered a webinar for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) on how to deliver award-winning outcomes-driving campaigns.

The webinar, titled ‘The Science Behind Award Winning Campaigns’, took place on 19th May 2022 and was built around new data analysis and learnings from experiences of winning and judging at national and regional awards.

The invitation came after Evergreen recorded 11 industry awards in its first two years - taking Leigh’s career total up to 17. Leigh was also a judge at the 2021 national CIPR Excellence Awards and the PR Week Healthcare Awards.

The webinar featured an exclusive look at new data analysis of award entries that helped shine a light on those areas most likely to help organisations stand out from the crowd. Leigh was joined by Adeeba Hussain, an AMEC Accredited Communications Consultant, who talked about the value of outcomes over outputs, and Nafisa Shafiq, Student Communications Manager at the University of Leeds and a Socially Mobile graduate, who discussed the power of storytelling. There was also be a close-up on one of Evergreen’s award winning campaign case studies, to help attendees see how to put the learnings into practice. 

Talking ahead of the webinar, Leigh commented: “After an enormously successful first two years for Evergreen, it will be a privilege to share what we have learned about how to deliver award-winning campaigns that achieve outcomes.

“The new analysis we’ve conducted looks at around 30 award entries to uncover what makes the strongest campaigns stand out from the crowd. I’ll be joined by fantastic professionals in Adeeba and Nafisa and I’m looking forward to a lively discussion.”
