Putting the long overlooked issue of sleep firmly on the Government’s public health agenda.
Dreaming of Change

Cross-party MP supporters at launch
We had MP supporters from all major parties.
The challenge.
While sleep can have a major impact on health, poor sleep is largely trivialised. The Sleep Charity had identified issues at every stage of the sleep support journey, from public health education to secondary care referrals, but they needed help in winning the attention of the Government.
The idea
We made the issue of sleep impossible to ignore and created an inspiring vision for the future with the publication of ‘Dreaming of change: a manifesto for sleep’. Our research revealed that there could be up to 14m undiagnosed insomnia conditions in the UK and proposed a clear set of policies as a solution. We brought the issue to life with real stories from people with lived experience, engaging with MPs and the media.

The campaign was supported by two well known Ministers, who took the Manifesto to the Secretary of State for Health and Care. This provides a strong foundation for change that could result in big improvements to sleep disorder support services across the UK.
