iSpace Wellbeing - creators of The Wellbeing Curriculum for schools - appoints Evergreen
We’re excited to be working with iSpace Wellbeing - the innovative creators of ‘The Wellbeing Curriculum’ for schools - to help them launch their offering nationwide, following a successful pilot. The appointment comes after we won a competitive pitch against three other agencies.
iSpace Wellbeing provides a ‘whole school’ approach to supporting children with their mental, emotional, social and physical health and helps schools to meet the Government’s new guidelines for mental health.
Latest research shows that nine in 10 teachers believe the Covid-19 outbreak will damage the mental health of pupils and only five per cent feel confident to deal with this.
The evidence-based curriculum, which is described by its customers as “The Gold Standard”, makes learning about mental health fun, providing pupils, parents and teachers with a common language for talking about their feelings and an understanding of who and how to ask for help.
It was devised by Paula Talman, who has 25 years experience in child development and mental health and who has taken part in roundtables hosted by the Department for Education to talk about the issue of child wellbeing.
Evergreen PR founder, Leigh Greenwood, said: “It is wonderful to be working with a company doing such important work to protect and improve children’s mental health during what is an exceptionally challenging time for pupils, teachers and parents. iSpace Wellbeing’s whole school approach to helping children learn more about their mental health and understand who and how to ask for help is something that all schools could benefit from. We’re can’t wait to get started.”
