Northern Marketing Awards Shortlist for Best PR Campaign and Best Health Campaign

We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for two important awards - Best PR Campaign and Best Health Campaign - at the Northern Marketing Awards for our work with our leading physiotherapy client, Ascenti.

The ‘Virtual Physiotherapy for the Workforce’ campaign, launched in late March at the beginning of the lockdown, which helped position Ascenti as leaders in the corporate health space at a time when many employer’s were struggling to understand how best to support people with working from home, was shortlisted by judges at the awards, organised by Prolific North.

The campaign involved the publication of two White Papers - the first based on our research showing that the mass move to WFH was causing a rise in back and neck injuries as people switched from being seated at a desk to working from a bed or computer and the second comparing patient outcomes from 27,000 virtual physiotherapy patients with those receiving in-person treatment.

We also devised a generous offer of free virtual physiotherapy for elderly people who were at risk from mobility issues after being forced to shield in the lockdown and for NHS workers who were having to move large numbers of patients and so were at risk of injury.

Key outcomes achieved by the campaign included:

  • New enquiries from 10+ high-value corporate clients

  • SEO visibility increased from 69 to 181 in four months (Searchmetrics)

  • Domain Authority increased from 28 to 33 (Moz)

  • 42 media articles and 25 backlinks (20 Do Follow)

  • Circulation figure 1bn - actual coverage views figure 1.06m

  • 3,500 social shares of the articles generated

  • Ascenti referred to as a “superhero firm” in world top-10 publication The Guardian. Evening Standard, The Metro, Daily Record and Patient among the consumer sites to feature them

  • Business Insider, Corporate Advisor, Management Issues, People Management, Personnel Today, HR News, Occupational Health and Wellbeing were among the corporate media to feature them

  • Mobi Health News, Health Tech Digital, AT Today, Health Insurance and Protection, Health Investor and Laing Buisson were among the health and tech titles to cover them

Sophie Harper, Chief Brand and Communications Officer at Ascenti, said:

“Evergreen PR did an amazing job in helping us to raise the profile of our digitally-enabled physio services during coronavirus. They take a strategic approach and are tenacious in their focus on securing results. With their help we’ve been able to win new business and expand existing relationships, leading to a large number of conversations with corporate clients over the last few months. Many agencies can sap more time than you would like, but with Evergreen you get strong ideas, a willingness to use their own initiative and the experience to be self-sufficient, even when dealing with very complex information. It has been great working with them!”

The Northern Marketing Awards celebrate the excellence, creativity and achievements of the marketing industry in the North. The winners will be announced on 3rd November.
