Evergreen wins 'Healthcare & Pharma Campaign of the Year' - for the third consecutive year
Healthcare PR and communications agency Evergreen PR was one of the big winners at this year’s PRmoment awards, scooping coveted awards for ‘Healthcare and Pharma Campaign of the Year’ - for the third year in a row - and ‘Media Relations Campaign of the Year’.
We were awarded ‘Healthcare and Pharma Campaign of the Year’ for the breakthrough health campaign we delivered for The Sleep Charity to address the fact that sleep has been overlooked and trivialised by successive governments.
Our campaign - ‘Dreaming of Change: A Manifesto for Sleep’ - made the issue of poor sleep and health impossible to ignore using data, human stories and creative policies.
It generated widespread top-tier media cut-through with BBC Breakfast, ITV News, Five News, MailOnline and The Lancet. We secured support from nine cross-party MPs, and backing from two Government ministers for a proposed National Sleep Strategy to tackle insomnia and other sleep problems.
We were awarded ‘Media Relations Campaign of the Year’ for our campaign, Taking veteran healthcare mainstream’, which we devised and delivered on behalf of the Royal College of General Practitioners, NHS England, and the Office for Veterans' Affairs. It aimed to encourage GP practices to take the quick but vitally important step of becoming ‘Veteran Friendly Accredited’, to ensure their teams are able to provide the best care possible to their veteran patients.
Through our research of 5,000 veterans, we found that many struggle with their health but don’t visit their GP for fear of not being understood. We used original data and stories from real pairings of veterans and the healthcare professionals that supported them to create bespoke media and stakeholder packages that brought this silent struggle to life and encouraged practice teams to become accredited.
The campaign generated 170+ items of coverage, including 12-minutes on BBC Breakfast and 9-minutes on BBC Morning Live, alongside articles in the likes of the British Medical Journal and The Independent.
Over the previous five years, 40% of GP practices had become accredited. Through our campaign, which saw 5,000 people visit the accreditation page, we drove a further 10% of practices to sign-up within just five months.
Leigh Greenwood, founder and managing director of Evergreen PR, said:
"At Evergreen PR, we aim to be the most effective healthcare PR agency in the UK when it comes to creating breakthrough health campaigns that achieve measurable outcomes - so we're immensely proud to have won PRmoment's Healthcare and Pharma campaign of the Year award for the third year running! We also took home the Media Relations Award in a highly competitive category.
“When we embark on any health campaign, what we really want to do is to create the right campaign to achieve our client's business objectives and make health happen - we did that with these campaigns for the Royal College of General Practitioners and The Sleep Charity, but getting recognition from our peers for the excellence of our work is a very rewarding thing."
